Grift Promoted by Serial Con Artist and Hollywood Producer Cori Shepherd Stern

What’s the Business Model?
That’s a lot of money. So how does the Human Line Project, Inc plan to recoup those costs and profit? Brisson is an entrepreneur after all, not a community organizer. But the Human Line Project hasn’t disclosed a business plan and they don’t sell any products.
If you look at the Human Line Project website or press coverage, it reads like an informal grassroots community group or non-profit organization, but what is it really?
In a series of email exchanges with the Human Line Project “founder” Etienne Brisson on March 11 and 12, I asked Etienne Brisson how The Human Line Project plans to recoup expenses and make money.
Brisson called the Human Line Project a “Quebec non profit organization” who was “planning to be able to cover our expenses like any other non profits, grants, research projects and funding coming from philanthropic organizations.”
I replied, “Can you share the nonprofit registration details—like the legal entity name, registration number, or state/province of incorporation?”

Current working theory: Cori Shepherd Stern intended for Mica Ringo to be either the star plaintiff or the cautionary tale for the cause of “AI psychosis” and Stern had a lawsuit template pre-written for either option. When Ringo refused the trap, Stern simply created a funnel to generate leads and then chose a new target and inserted their name on the lawsuit, regardless of whether the facts fit or not. The language used in all the cases is nearly identical copy and paste.
The Logic Nov 27,2025 reported on the first contact in March between The Human Line Project and the lawyer that helped filed the cases against OpenAI, Meetali Jain of the Tech Justice Law Project.

It’s important to look at not only what’s explicitly on the website but also what kinds of things are missing that you might expect to see? The Human Line Project uses language about protecting human emotional safety and wellbeing but the imagery doesn’t reflect that ethos. These images all have a very creepy undertone, not a healing one.
The Human Line Projects solicits stories about harmful interactions with AI.
To what end?
